The Dojo Bar Bristol Reviews
Underground Dance Venue Jul 22, 2010
Dojo's as it is known to the locals has been on the club scene for what seems like ages, and time and again it proves itself as a worthy place to go, if you are looking for something a little bit different and cool.
The club is a nightmare to find, I'll accept, but if you ask people on your walk up there, you are sure to find someone who can give you directions.
Entrance is usually free before 12, and then £5 there after, but this does depend on the kind of night they are promoting.
This kind of club will not appeal to everyone, the décor is passée and and toilets leave a lot to be desired, but for music and environment, it's hard to beat Dojo in Bristol.
Music can be many kinds of flavour in one night, Dub Step, Garage, Drum and Bass, Jump up Rave, Old School etc. One thing it always has is a great atmosphere.
There is a large outdoor area which is covered and nicely lit to provide a good ambience. There is sometimes a barbecue outside as well - you can hear the music and have a hog roast at the same time - brilliant.
Plus it's open until the small hours so that you don't need to go and find another venue at 2-3 when other places are kicking out.
