The Dog & Duck - Summerville - TravBuddy

This was our favorite place when we lived in Summerville. It is a cozy little Pub in a strip mall with outdoor seating. They have a smoking and non-smoking section. It is frequented by locals. It's one of those places where they know your name. Service is quick even during rush hour. They are always well staffed.

The prices are reasonable and the selection is good. They range from the German JoJo's which are potatoes tossed with bacon and green onions then smothered with melted cheese to sandwiches such as The Whasamattafoyou, an 8 oz thinly sliced N.Y. style pastrami sandwich. Everyday there are specials. The specials for lunch are changed for dinner.

They have a wide variety of bottled beer. The draft selection consists of Boddington's, New Castle, and a few others. They have Bass and Guinness for the Black and Tan drinkers. There is always a special draft featured each week.

I would highly recommend this establishment. All of our guests that we've brought there enjoyed it.
