The Diplomat Hotel Sliema Description

The Howard Johnson Diplomat Hotel situated in the heart of Sliema has a superb sea front position on the prestigious promenade, with facilities for every modern convenience to the business and leisure traveler alike. There is an excellent rock bathing beach providing swimming and water sports right opposite. It is well located close to the area's shops, bars and restaurants. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, a telephone and a hair dryer. Two Suites are also available on the eighth floor with a private terrace and panoramic views of Sliema. The entire first floor is reserved for non-smoking guests. Most of hotel rooms have Wifi Access.The hotel's general facilities include a Rooftop swimming pool with whirlpool, sun terrace and pool bar overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The Lobby bar serves hot and cold light meals and snacks. The Pub opens every evening till the early hours. The Penny Farthing Restaurant offers an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast and a Buffet/Carvery Dinner. A Health Center and sauna. Games room. Conference rooms and a Business center. Three Guest Lifts. All outlets are fully Air conditioned and most of them have Wifi access.The hotel has a total of 111 Bedrooms and 2 Suites with Whirlpool baths. Each Room is furnished in American Oak, Fitted Carpets, Orthopedic Mattresses and Blackout Curtains. All rooms have a side sea view balcony, and some over looks the Mediterranean Sea. The Suites have a private terrace, and a dinning area.The main restaurant is open throughout the week, offering an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast, lunch and a buffet dinner, featuring a choice of local and continental cuisine. From the purposely designed Carvery / Buffet Counter a variety of Local Antipasto dishes combined with a selection of Soups, Pasta, Curry vegetarian dish, Fish and the main joints from the Carvery section are served every evening with a variety of sweets and fresh fruit.The fitness center is available for hotel guests only, who are entitled to make use of the machines-treadmill, bench press, bicycle, stepper. The sauna is situated at the gym, with private showers.The pool which includes a Jacuzzi is situated on the eighth floor and commends an awesome view of the Mediterranean Sea. The sun-terrace surrounding the pool offers ample space for our guests to relax and enjoy themselves in the sunshine. The sun terrace is furnished with deck-chairs, umbrellas, and showers.
