The "D" Lounge Reviews

Dec 14, 2007
My second favorite place in Corpus Christi is The "D" Lounge. Once again, an incredible upscale atmosphere. The seating is unique. Large, leather couches and ottomans that you fall into and never want to come out. The drinks are well crafted and tend to kick you in the rear.

If you're not sure what you wish to have, not to worry, your options are plentiful and the bartenders are extremely helpful. There's always the option of choosing one of the delectible signature drinks. One of my favorites is the Saketini.

They also have a wide range of appetizers that are the size of a meal, ranging from sushi to nouveau French-Asian, which I'm sure is inspired by Hu-Dat noodle house next door. It's underrated because of the local scene in Corpus Christ. It's just out of place but if you're visiting or you're local and want something different, it's the place to go. Friday night is usually when I make my way down there, pregaming before more drinking and dancing at Utopia, in the same shopping center. If you're looking for a "nice" place with a good atmosphere, this is the place to go. Don't worry too much about the signature drink prices, when you read the descriptions of liquors involved, you'll realize that the $8 price tag makes incredible sense. The drinks are killers. Take care.
