The Clarendon Hotel Phoenix
The Clarendon Hotel Phoenix Reviews
MODERN HOTEL IN THE DESSERT Feb 04, 2008
this was a nice place to stay if you were on a biz trip. this was home for a week. my room was the "executives" room, Nice and roomy at approximately 400 sqft, all Executive Rooms are non-smoking and include: One King Bed (same as used in Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons chains), dresser, executive desk, enclosed closet with ironing board and iron, 42" flat screen HDTV with HUNDREDS of free channels including HBO, refrigerator, extra-wide electronic safe, AM/FM sound system with ipod/mp3 player inputs, well-stocked honor bar, L'Occitane En Provence Bath Amenities. Complimentary: high-speed wi-fi internet, local/long distance telephone calls, covered parking, morning newspaper selection and coffee and pastries served in the lobby each morning.
however, the wi-fi is awful. i would not rely on streaming video. i can barely email. i fridge in my room. i would drive to trader joe's every day to buy fresh lunch and dinner packs. there is also a restaurant/bar on the side of the hotel. i only gave it 2 stars because of the wi-fi. tourist spots from the hotel: Sky Harbor International Airport - 6 miles Steele Indian School Park - 1/4 miles Heard Museum - 2 miles Phoenix Art Museum - 2 1/2 miles Japanese Friendship Gardens - 2 3/4 miles Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center - 3 miles Chase Field / America West Arena - 3 miles University of Phoenix Stadium - 12 miles Arizona Science Center - 3 miles Biltmore Fashion Park - Upscale Boutique Shops - 4 miles Jobing.com Arena - 12 miles Phoenix International Raceway - 21 miles Part of the ARIZONA 2007 - 2009 travel blog |
