Copenhagen from "Rundetaarn" Observatory
Christian IV had the Round Tower ("Rundetaarn") built in 1642 as an observatory. The foundation stone for Rundetaarn was laid in 1637.
The tower was the first stage of the Trinitatis complex, which was to gather three important facilities for the scholars of the seventeenth century: an astronomical observatory, a student church and a university library.
Nowadays, it absolutely served as a sightseeing spot for tourists where enable to view Copenhagen in various directons whist different view comes into yr eyes for sure.
The day I went there was raining and cloudy. The views are still great and fantastic!! (Maybe bcoz it was the first day I landed the scandinavian territories, where my dream locations for life)
"Rundetaarn" - I would name it as the "Oldest Functioning Observatory in Europe"
