The City, Country and People Reviews
Basics about Dublin Mar 23, 2008So we went to Dublin Ireland for 7 days and the first thing you want to do is buy a 7 day tram ticket for 18 euro but if you also want to use the bus system you might need to buy a different kinder ticket that allows you to take the bus and the tram. Dublin is very small I walked everywhere but to get to our hotel we had to take the tram. For food there is a lot to eat all different cousins. Since we could not choose we went to 3 different restaurants a day ordered a meal and shared it so we could try it all. Also try every now and then the hot food they sell in the supermarket it is big portioned for a little price. The only thing I have to say about the taxi is that they tend to get more expensive during St. Patrick ’s Day but also the souvenirs do. Still you should try to go there for that day since it is just a different experience. The people in Ireland are the funniest, helpful and cheerful people ever. Dublin should be on the must go list. |

Of all the places that I have visited in Europe, Ireland was my favorite. My first stop was Dublin. It wasn't the Ireland I expected. The city isn't all the beautiful green grass and mountains that you see in Ireland travel brochures, so don't be disappointed. Everything is four stories and brown. Very touristy and not many locals, but the Temple Bar district is the place to be! I had a very good time being a tourist there. There is much to see and do. Outside of Dublin though, I found the country to be very lovely. I took a three day driving tour all along the eastern side of the country. I can't wait to go back to see the rest of the country! The Irish had to be the most friendliest people I have ever met!
