A Shanghainese colleague gave us a recommendation on this restuarant for a recent work trip.

The restuarant is underneath the Jin Jiang Hotel in Shanghai, on the corner opposite the Lyceum Theatre.

Very contemporary asian decor with booths and I think a bar in the upper area.

We ordered dishes to share, The soup dumplings which my colleagues claim to be the best they have ever tasted, shanghai prawn noodles, wasabi prawns, which were great but incredibly spicy. And the western in us ordered a sweet and sour chicken. Food was really delicious. Probably the best chinese food I have had. For dessert we ordered parsley ice cream dumpling which did not go down to well with my colleagues but I thought it was ok, a little strange but still edible. Maybe just select a chocolate or fruit dessert which looked incredible.

If you are looking for somewhere upmarket, but not so expensive with an interesting menu then check this place out.

Sorry didn't get any photos.
