The Chattanoogan Reviews
Southern charm with big city luxury Apr 25, 2011
While staying in Chattanooga Tennessee last year i looked for a hotel not only close to the Downtown area but also a place where i could chill out after a long day of hiking and get some pampering. The Chattanoogan sits in a conveinient location walking distance to most downtown restaurants and attractions.i could easily walk to get lunch, walk to the Tennessee Aqaurium and walk back to the hotel.
upon entering the building i was very impressed with the atmosphere the Chattanoogan provided.A soft acoustic guitar playing as the soundtrack to experience and set a tranquil mood.I noticed immediatly how clean and upscale the establishment was.with nice restraunt inside,a coffee shop, spa, indoor pool, sauna, jet pool, steam room and fitness area i was quite happy just to stay at the hotel for the day and thats just what i did.the pool is amazing!! the glass windows above provided a great view of the sky and mountains over in the distance.you could exit the pool and go outside on the rooftop for some sun and relaxation or stay in and lounge around the pool.the sauna is close by and so from the pool i went to sit and warm up and get dry.i was so relaxed the entire stay here.the spa has a wonderful staff and great massage therapy.the whole room smells of lavender creating even more tranquility.the next morning i was glad to find the fitness area empty so i had the equipment to myself.all of the equipment was top of the line and in great working order.they even had tv's in front of the cardio like a gym and towels for every guest out for public use.
the room was clean and very nice.with a great view of downtown i enjoyed kicking back with the large window curtain open to look out.every so often a horse and carriage would stroll by providing folks a nice tour of the downtown area.this was also a great way to get to the other side of downtown if you didnt want to walk it.
room service is available but of course not without cost.i opted to walk over to a near-by restraunt called Cafe Diner which i strongly recommend! great food and great variety that is affordable!
My stay at the Chattanoogan was unforgettable and i will be retuning.
