The Centro Hotel & Residence Batam Reviews
Disappointment Jun 15, 2013
A night for two as part of a deal package. Decided to give this new hotel a try.
2 Way Land Transfer : On the 1st Day when we arrived, Driver was late for 30mins for the pick up to the hotel which i understand that he might stuck in a jam.
Room : About 2 level high, we have to climb up the stairs to our room. We have a free room upgrade that comes with big refrigerator/kitchen/deposit box..etc. It was clean but to our horror, the air-con in the room really need to be service. It make "drilling" noise in the middle of the night & it drips alot of water. If we switch it off the room is very warm. We barely have enough sleep and there are no EXT given that direct to the reception.
Language : Most speak in Bahasa Indonesia and is similar to Malay language & not all could speak in English. There are some language barrier so our problems is not solved!
Breakfast : Insufficient rest due to the air-con, we went down to have breakfast at 9am (+7). Strangely there are no refills where i'm sure they are aware that there are quite a number of tourists coming to eat and with that little amount left, they decide to walk away! Really Poor service! And not recommended for you if you don't take spicy food.
Service : We suppose to have our massage on the last day of our stays which we are looking forward to. Staff promised 10am for appointment. But the excused was "Can you wait for another 30mins as they haven't set up the place". After so many bad experience we decided to just not go as it is tiring to climb up & down from our hotel room.
2 Way Land Transfer (Continue) : Skipped our massage and check out early to go with our own plans instead. Since transfer is included we follow their schedule which is in another 15mins but .. it turns out 45mins as they want to wait for another couples to take the ride together. Too tired to argue. If we have money left we could just hire a cab out instead.
Nearby Amenities : Free shuttle from the hotel to Kepris mall but if you want to come back you may need to call the hotel. The mall is new and nothing much to see actually & less choices of food. What attracts us are the Matahari Department Store to shop for clothing and we cab down to Nayoya Mall for better variety at RP50,000.
Overall Experience : First & Last time here. I rather go to other places available. Who knows your experience is better?
