Eat meat as you can Jul 17, 2015
Went to both branches in Kenya and Egypt.

The restaurant offers almost all kinds of grilled meat and Chiken

You will find infront of you a rounded table which there are different sauces to dip in the meat.

Basically they will serve you the meat of the grill smoking hot, first they give you a small piece and tell you which sauce to try with this meat as each sauce suitable for one type of meat

And if you life they cut a big piece for you . If you did not like you simply say pass or skip

And the second type of meat will come to you in the second round.

They go on like this With more than 10 different types of meat

You will see a flag infront of you ... If you feel that you need a rest after stuffing your stomach with all of this meat you simply put the flag Down.

After you rest and become ready to taste new meat put your flag up again and they will serve you the hot meat.

Carnivore - for the serious meat-eaters Jul 13, 2013
The Carnivore is an unabashed meat-eater's paradise and a regular stop on the traveller circuit - it is not for the ecologically-minded, or the faint-hearted like me, but for those willing to try anything from standard fare to exotic stuff high up the food chain like lions and leopards. The exotic meats change each day and waiters keep coming to you with different rounds of meat on swords from which they slice it off on to your plate if you want to try it. They do have a vegetarian menu too but that is more like for the odd one out in a big bad boisterous group.

I guess guests are here as much for the meal as for the atmosphere - you can see the stuff being grilled right in front of you and the place gets pretty lively with the waiters constantly circulating between tables and the drinks flowing along with the food. Reservations are often recommended here, especially if your group is big. The place gets rave recommendations but also some negative reviews sometimes - but, by and large, this is counted as a Nairobi 'must-do' evening.

Great exotic food, best restaurant of kenya Mar 23, 2008
This is the best restaurant where I've ever been in my life. Very very nice people!! And also very very good food. A great choice of different exotic but also non exotic food. You can eat as much as you want and the prices are average. It is quite cheap for European people but expansive for people in Kenya. But it is a great experience just to be there.

The Carnivore Restraunt in Nairobi, Kenya, is truely a unique experience. Very soon after you're seated and your drink orders are taken (try the signiture drink of the carnivore, the Dawa) servers begin to approach you with large swords, on each of which is a large hunk of some type of meat (both domestic and wild game) which was until recently, cooking on an open flame. You're asked if you want some, and if you do they'll cut you off a chunk. This continues until you decide you're done eating. Although all of the meat is good, I'd particularly recommend trying the ostrich and camel, both are fantastic. There is also a vegitarian (herbavore) menu for those who prefer it.

AVOID - It has a wonderful setting & great atmosphere but is very over priced, the service it terrible, you get given a set amount of salad which would not feed a mouse. they serve all the cheap meats first so if you want a simple slice of beef then you have to wait. The meat is not special in any way & you can get far better quality in most other restaurants.
I've lived in the area for 18 months now & know If you're a true meat eater, you need to go to Fugo Goucho instead, where you can enjoy lots of meat, with a huge salad bar & at a far cheaper price.
