Ah, the infamous Cook. A two minute walk from the university campus and the closest bar for most students flatting in the area, it's by far one of the busiest places to get your drink on.

Since it caters to a student-style budget there are always special deals on jugs, house wines and spirits so no worries about finding cheap alcohol!

The Cook has three main sections - the downstairs bar and dance floor, the outside bar and seating area, and the upstairs club and bar. There is also a small section devoted to the 'pokies' or gambling machines for those who like to drink and play.

Generic top 40 music plays there when they haven't got a live local band on but since everyone is so drunk people don't care what plays so long as they're having fun!

Expect to wake up in a bush if you get rowdy with Dunedin students!
