A wonderful Morning Mar 04, 2012
New Orleans is is an obvious food mecca, but it's city limits don't mark boundaries for innovative flavors. Head across Lake Pontchartrain, (took me at least 40 min from Downtown New Orleans.) Well, there is no Bourbon street or all night life like The Big Easy, but you'll find refined shops, galleries and restaurants in a calm charming communities, I thought was very cute city. When I got there was crawed and I had to wait...While you waiting you can have a free coffee on the front porch. Inside, tables draped in maroon-checked and was very charming! The food was delicious! if you are there on the weekend get ready for a wait, and probably a crowded mess. The prices are ok by me, can be high for some people for breakfast/brunch food. BUT they make awesome bloody Marys and crisp mimosas, and the food is the best breakfast on the Northshore! I really recommend it :)
