Awesome and classy dive in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore. The restaurant/bar has three disctinct sections. The bar upstairs is classy and fairly smoke free. The beer is exceptional, as it is a brewery, and reasonably priced. The sit-down restaurant is more formal than the bar area and the gourmet fare is rather tastsy, but more costly. The third area is the informal bar in the basement where college students and young Baltimore hipsters congregate. The bar food and beer are the same there, but the atmpstphere is younger and the air is smokier. At either of the bars and in the restaurant, you can get the signature rosemary garlic french fries. At $4 for a heaping plate complete with mayonaise dipping sauce, this can be enough for a whole meal and complements the bear selection perfectly. I reccommend visiting on a weekday, as this exceptional bar is often quite crowded on the weekends. All in all, a must go to in Baltimore.
