Secluded beautiful botanical oasis away from tourist crowds Feb 22, 2011
With so many fascinating sights to see in Barcelona, there's also lots of others that get overlooked and missed.

Some of them are also amazing, and one of them are Botanical Gardens on top of Montjuic. It's just over the Olympic Stadium.

With nice views over the city, and a great variety of plants from all over the world, I think it could fit in any itinerary that includes Montjuic. It's good to know that entrance is free on the last Sunday of every month, and every Sunday from 3 pm.

You can walk around for hours and admire beautiful plants, or enjoy the smells. Obviously the garden specializes in Mediterranean plants, but there are so many others from all over. It is divided into geographical sections. Sections are explained, and all the plants are well marked.
