Black Church Aug 12, 2011
Maybe the most significant site in Brasov, this church is hard to miss. This is a Catholic church in an Orthodox-dominated country, whose attendees are/were mostly Saxons from Germany. It's called "Black Church" because a fire charred the interior, but it's still standing because it's made of stone. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the interior because it had closed by the time I got there. It's open Monday through Saturday until five p.m., on Sunday mass is held.

Very imposing, can't miss it!! Mar 29, 2011
Brasov is all around an amazing medical city, and you can't miss visiting the Black Church. I visited it shortly after visiting some of the large Cathedrals in Stockholm, and Budapest. I was amazed at the size and quality of construction compared to the ones in these royal cities. You can't miss the church, it's visible from nearly everywhere in the Old City of Brasov and is the largest Saxon church in Romania.

must see in Brasov Jul 02, 2011
Black Church in Brasov is impressive regarding it's size, while you are close to it you really have to tilt your head upwards to see the roof. Highly recommended tourist spot when you're in Brasov. Close to the city center
