One of my favorite places May 25, 2012
I simply love this place. The way it works is that there is usually a series of sets for the night could be anything from alternative to more pop type music. There is a cover usually like $5-10. The bands that I have seen here have been pretty good and the atmosphere has been great. Usually you could stand but if you sit you must buy one drink per set but the drink can be like a soda if you dont drink and the prices are more than reasonable for NYC. The vibe is chill and casual and it always presents a good night out.On the weekend it gets a little crowded but the bands that play are better.

Not sure why it's called the Bitter End, I never feel bitter there personally :D.

Not much elbow room, usually very full on Friday and Saturday nights.

It's a solid music venue, intimate size, and has a fairly good sound system.

Drinks are on par with the area, in terms of pricing, and choices. There IS a cover charge to enter mind you.

Apparently it's quite famous, lots of music legends have gone and/or performed here.
