The Crowne Plaza is a pretty nice hotel, too. But in common with many nice hotels, particularly in out of town areas, the bar was unbelievably expensive. Almost six pounds for a glass of wine. I barely pay that for a bottle! So on the wednesday night, we got a taxi… Birmingham Broad Street |

Today Ian and I went to the wedding of Angie (a friend of Ian's) and Tim, at the New Hall Hotel in Walmley, near Sutton Coldfield.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, an old manor house set in the middle of a lily-filled moat. It's steeped in history and each part of the building dates back to a different era, as the house… A Wonderful Wedding |

I got a cab from the hotel at 4:15 and made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare. The tew terminal at barajas is really cool. The architecture is modern and seeing it in the dark of the morning made it even more spectacular. I flew British… Why do I book flights for 7:00 in the morning? |
