The Best Way to Travel in Russia Moscow Reviews
Trains in Russia Jun 22, 2011
I'm writing this review because it seems people are always confused whether to take a plane or a train when they're visiting Russia (like going from Moscow to St.Petersburg, etc)
Trains in Russia have evolved by the years. In the Past, you had to take an airplane to get to St.Petersburg from Moscow, because the train just goes so slow. Now, everything has changed with Sapsan. You can get there in just 4 hours.
The same goes for Nizhny-Moscow. It's only about 3 hours and costs about 1000 plus roubles (about 30-40 USD)
For those of you who want to get to Moscow city area from the Moscow Airport (Domodedovo, Shermetyevo or Vnukovo) you can take the Aeroexpress. It costs about 350 roubles, and the journey lasts about 45 minutes.
Definitely cheaper than taking those taxis which could cost you thousands of rubles.
