Perfect Country Pub Aug 24, 2009
On the outskirts of Sapperton is a country pub/inn called 'The Bell'. The outside is what you expcet of the Cotswolds right down to the spot to tie up your horses.

Inside is deocrated with local art, old fahsioned wooden tables and a few huge fireplaces which are lit during the colder months.

The food varies by the season so you can expect a different menu each time but it will be based around pork, beef and fowl. The fresh baked bread will no doubt fill you up but see if you can save room for a starter. The mains are well presented and rated very highly. The sides will be family style to share (veg and potato).

The starters and mains are so good you won't have room for pudding. I did try the puddings both times I've been and they weren't any where near the quality of the other food but I guess that is for you to decide. The local cheese will always be a safe bet!

Make sure you phone them in advance as space is limited and they will only do set seatings for lunch and dinner.
