Make sure you go down to the boardwalk (sand and water, you know!) at Queen and Woodbine during the day - The Beaches is a very nice area just a streetcar ride away from downtown (approximaetly 15 min of travel time). During the weekend people play volleyball, kite-board, windsurf, suntan and just walk along the boardwalk. Walk down from Queen Street and/or along Queen St as well to shop and eat.

Other things you have to do: Checkout Chinatown, Korea Town, Little Italy, go up the CN Tower, Gay District if your ok with that (politically correct?), Yorkville, Harbourfront, University of Toronto, Castleoma, Lawrence Park (the Park), Canada's Wonderland (for rollercoasters), Vaughan Mills (Shopping), CNE Gounds, Centre Island, Eaton Centre, Club District at night, etc.

I think you can get a general layout of the city by taking the tour bus right away, this will provide with a general idea of what you would like to do after the tour: http://www.torontohippotours.com/

Beaches area is very famous for its annual Jazz Festival which takes place in July. The area east of downtown and on the waterfront of Toronto, has a sandy beach where many come to tan and some swim (although I wouldn't recommend doing so in dirty… Toronto

There is also Woodbine beach and a few other beaches along the Lakeshore as well for those people looking to escape the City and lay back and relax.   Or you can take a drive down Cherry Street to The Docks. The Docks is always a lot of fun, they… All around Toronto and area

Beautiful parks, a ‘Clothing optional’ beach and a “beach” with lifeguards.  Headed back to the mainland about 5 or so, then walked through the CBD to ‘Peel pub’.  Had separate rooms for smoking and non-smoking people.  Had a great steak for $7 and was introduced to a ‘Caesar… Ferry to Center Island

Sunday we ventured even further east to a neighbourhood called 'The Beaches' where surprisingly enough there were some...beaches! It was so strange to be in the city one minute then in a holiday resort the next - it was really hot, but we didn't fancy chancing a dip in the lake - we heard more than… Week 3
