Only bar at the beach but you might as well pass on it Oct 20, 2013
The Beach Hut is probably the only bar left at the beach in Galveston since Hurricane Ike, but unfortunately that is not enough to make it worth a visit.

I visited Galveston with the idea of having a delicious shrimp cocktail, so I was a little disappointed that they didn't have them in this place. They only had fried shrimp, and lots of beef and chicken (I mean, you would expect more seafood offered in a beach front bar).

The cocktails they served were pretty terrible and the fried shrimp I ordered wasn't that good either. The only good thing is that you can eat enjoying some sea breeze, but that's about it.

When we left, a live band was about to play, so I really can't say if they were good or not, I guess they just played regular beach party music.

You can skip this one.

Thanks guys! Don't go to this place if you are in Galveston! Sure Tania, a picnic is a much better choice ;)
