The Bay Theatre Reviews

This is an old movie theatre on main street in Seal Beach where you can see old and new movies. The price is about equal to any regular theatre, but the Bay is definately a different expirence. You almost feel transported back in time when you enter the small, single viewing room with an organ for silent movies and old-fasioned arty designs on the walls. The building has probably not been restored in some time (some of the seats are falling apart) but to me that only adds to its charm and character; this is definately not a plain, boring black box that new theatres are. The bay plays a few new movies, usually low budgit "arty movies" but the best part about it is the old movies it plays--I've seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Great Escape, and the Exorcist there, to name a few. Unfortunately, as of yet they have not scheduled any classic films for 2006. You can check their website to see what they're showing. Hopefully they'll line up some good oldies soon =)
