Live Nudes Models at MoMA Apr 16, 2010
Marina Abramović's, "The Artist is Present" Exhibit is an eye opening experience that traces Abramović's career. The Exhibit has become quite controversial since opening March 2010 at MoMA.

Models standing around naked in a crowd of people (museum visitors). It takes a lot of courage to be a performance artists in this very popular exhibit. Some of the nude models are not shy about displaying the assets they have been blessed with, or embarrassed when people stare or brushes past them. Throughout the exhibit, the artist Abramovic, sits at a small table fully clothed and silent as the public take turns sitting across from her.

Last date to see: May 31, 2010

Please note: when visiting a museum one never touches the art, so PLEASE do not touch the nude models or you will be escorted out.

I did go to this and although my two friends had the courage to walk through the two nude models, I have to admit I did chicken out, it really draws on issues of social intimacy. Considering going back next Friday as I definitely want to see this exhibition again, maybe this time I won't be a scaredy cat. :)

Just read an article about this, actually. Did you pass through the two nude models or use the side door? :)
