The American Wind Power Center Jun 28, 2008
The American Wind Power Center is free but donations are suggested at $5 per person or $10 per family; they also have guided tours at $5 per person (I recommend the guided tour if you have never seen a windmill before!)

The American Wind Power Center is on a 28 acre tract in East Lubbock and consist of a very large number of windmills, in fact many pieces found here were sought after by the Smithsonian because of its rare and uniqueness (at least 90 in that group alone) and is internationally recognized as the place to visit for observing windmills in their natural settings, if you go to the website you can see more photos also.

Outside of Holland (The Netherlands) I don’t think you will find a larger collection of unique windmills. If you’re in Lubbock, Texas you really don’t want to miss this!
