Thanh Phuong Restaurant Hoi An Reviews
Thanh Phuong Restaurant Jul 06, 2013
Night time is the most romantic time in Hoi An old town as the street lit up with red lantern, music and show performance at the special stage near the river and the atmosphere is alive and bustling with people walking, talking, etc.
We just walk around the old town without any destination or restaurant name in mind until we come across this place after crossing the bright lit bridge just opposite the river of the old town.
This restaurant is quite small with two storey high and with many lantern outside the building, but busy with people having dinner here. After checking the menu to make sure they have Vietnamese food, we sit down facing the river and order our food.
It takes awhile for the food to arrive, seems they do not have enough staff to serves the dinners. We actually a bit disappointed with our order and feel cheated at this place.
We ordered mix spring roll as per menu which show the picture of different types, shapes and filling of spring rolls in the plate but when our spring rolls come up, it is only have one shape and not many shapes like the picture on the menu.
I point out about this to the waiter and asked why it was different from the picture on the menu bus she insisted that they only have this one and not on menu the picture but the quantity is same. Actually the picture quantity was more than what was served on the plate.
Since we were hungry and I do not want to make a scene, so we just eat. Taste was okay and it does have different filing inside the spring rolls.
The other order was pork steam boat and it come up with so many vegetables on the pot and separate noodles. It was tasty. Overall, it was nice restaurant and price very reasonable.
