a leisurely trip from bangkok to ayuthaya on a beautiful converted teak rice barge. air con bunks downstairs, sleeping 12, delicious food prepared on board using fresh local ingredients picked up during the many bike trips through small villages. the boat docks frequently and the 10 speed bikes are off loaded for easy rides to really interesting sights, from clay brick making to temples and an orphanage.
the deck is very comfortable. the guides are terrific. final docking is in ayuthaya, the spectacular old capital, with beautiful sprawling temples in various states of disrepair. dating from the 13th century the trip will go with as few as 2 people...there are family discounts...and you can swim in the river. ..really amazing at sunset  Part of the list most magical, nourishing and photogenic places
