The second day in Thailand I was able to experience a traditional Ban Mai celebration on the opening of my companys office in Bangkok. The Ban Mai is a 'new house blessing'. This was another memorable and great trip indeed. Today we arrived in Bangkok at 6am. The train was actually on time. I was surprised as my previous involvement in travel through the country had always been delayed before. I had hardly slept at all on the train and so was particularly grumpy and tired! When arriving at Khao San I just wanted to get a hotel room and sleep! From bangkok to Pai By VIP bus 24 seats, bangkok-Cheingmai then by bus or van to Pai. I chose van, 3 hours from here. Have you ever heard of  curving road in Maehongsorn? Number 9 is Thai's lucky number since we pronounce as "Gao" which can be a double connotation of "Gao Na" which means "progress" or "moving forward" or "step forward".
