Thai Siam Restaurant Salt Lake City Reviews
Authentic Thai, not just more rice with stuff on top of it! Nov 22, 2009
Wonderful food, great staff. The staff is all Thai & so you are greeted & cared for in the Thai manner. Totally friendly, smiles, helpful. The place sold a few years ago to some Americans but they have been smart enough to stay out of it. They expanded & kept the staff in place. So, we don't branch out much when we order here. If it isn't broke, don't fix it... Right. We share an order of fried spring rolls, an order of fresh spring rolls(these are really a Vietnamese item, rice paper rolled around glass noodles, shrimp, mint, little bit of carrot. I can even make these puppies now myself, after many failures)an order of Thai Beef Salad (sliced beef) w/sticky rice (Not Larb -that is a different beef salad, the meat is ground), hot & sour shrimp soup. Then we take food home. It's way too much food but the next day we already have lunch ready. Thai iced tea. This is the real stuff. Reddish brown with milk on top. Has a flavor like no other tea. And usually beer.
Here's the another thing. The restroom is beautiful. It has been that way since the day they opened. Unusual in a Thai place. Usually they don't pay much attention to the restroom.
They have all the awards... Best This or That of Salt Lake each year, City Weekly awards, etc. displayed all around.
