Thai Garden Café London Reviews
Tasty Thai cuisine for a reasonable price Jul 10, 2009
Another ‘first time’ on the list of My London Diary was the first Thai restaurant I’ve been to. My girlfriend and I went to this Thai place near the British Museum for a lunch before heading to the London Aquarium and I was not disappointed. The place looked quite clean, all decorated in green colours and marble. We got there at non-peak hour so the place wasn’t packed with people and the service was quite quick. I first ordered a cappuccino, since I was having trouble waking up, but it turned out the cappuccino came at the same time as the food, so I left it for later.
I was told that Thai is quite a spicy food, but, luckily, I managed to find something mild, since I can’t stand the spiciness too much. My dish was a plain mix-veggie soup and chicken fried noodles with peanut. I finished the whole dish, not leaving the single peanut behind, so you might say either I was very hungry or I liked it so much, but I will say I liked it and would definitely recommend it to anyone heading direction the British Museum, since it’s basically across the street.
My girlfriend, on the other hand, ordered a tom yam soup (read: spicy) and a Pat Thai noodles, which I tried a bit and would also recommend, but please bear in mind that this was my first Thai cuisine ever, so from that perspective I liked it.
