For our 7th Wedding Anniversary I spurprised my wife with a weekend away to one of the Dutch Islands Texel. We had ordganised for the girls to be looked after for 3 days so we started the 2 hour drive to the cost about noon, I had been planning this for months and I think in the last week let slip about where we were going and as she hadn't been there before thought it was a greta idea. I lived on Texel (one of the dutch islands) for 5 months september 2003 - februari 2004. Weekend to Texel may 2004. A 2 day visit to Texel November 2004. A week on Texel may 2005 with my parents, sister and her daughter.

The Netherlands has 5 small islands, Texel is the biggest. It's located north. It's not far from my hometown, actuaully I can hop on a ferryboat and be there in 20 minutes. But that's not something that I usually do. It very touristic in the summertime, a lot of German people spend there holiday on Texel. Texel is famous for there sheeps! I've actually saved one! She couldn't get up, because she fell on her back. But luckily I was there, sheepsaver to the rescue! Enjoy the photo's!
