The Texas Road House Restaurant is a part of a a chain of over 300 steakhouses in 44 states in the USA. Texas Roadhouse is a place the whole family can enjoy great food, in a fun-filled, lively atmosphere at an affordable price. They serve up the freshest Hand-Cut Steaks in the land, plus Award Winning Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Homemade Side Dishes and their famous Fresh-Baked Bread. In 2003, they were voted the #1 Steakhouse in America by Restaurants and Institutions Magazine Consumer Choice Survey, and in 2004 Best Steakhouse Value and Menu Variety! They really do have something for just about everyone.

One of the fun things about eating here is that they offer you peanuts to eat while waiting. The shells somehow seem to find their way to the floor and that’s the way they like it. It is strange for me to through waste on the floor, but that what makes this place family fun.

My friend JP works at this location and so we always seem to get a good table right away. You can call ahead and have a table because the lines are incredibly long. You can wait up to 30 minutes for a table, but I promise you it is worth it. They cook your steak just like you want it. Each time I have visited, I have ordered med rare and each time I received my steak, medium rare. It is good to see the consistency. I the bread is made and baked right in front of you when you walk into the restaurant. They offer you a cinnamon butter for your bread and it is pretty good. They also have a plain butter if you choose. There is also a window case where you can choose your own hand cut steak. The
Service is great. Even when it is busy, you still seem to get your food at a reasonable time. All the meals include various sides including baked beans, corn, baked potatoes and the list goes on and on. You can’t miss with the good food they have. The sweet tea is really good as well. Save room for their big old brownies. They are to die for.

All in all this is a fun place to come and enjoy a good meal for a great price. Spend some time in the bar area and watch some TV, the best football games are always on, and just have fun. If you go to Mesquite, ask for JP and tell him Britt sent you.
