I kept this secret for a while, but now I’ll share it with you all.

Termas Geometricas are the ultimate thermal spring baths, and definitely the best I have ever been to and enjoyed in… These thermals are located in the middle of the wilderness, behind volcano Villarica in Chile. Surrounding volcano Villarica, there are literarily dozens of thermal springs, most of them not even having thermal or mineral water, but they bring it from different sources. Geometricas could be found on some maps, but generally they are a bit further away from tourist centers such as Pucon, so tour operators are avoiding it. Other thing that has to do with not many people being there is that last 15km of road is mostly dirt, and if there is any rain your car will look like pile of mud.

What separate this place from other are style, originality, location and real deal.

Guy that owns this place bought the whole canyon together with small waterfall and bunch of hot springs that appear from the canyon walls. He is supposedly an architect, and whole place is made to be part of the nature. Solid pieces of wood are carved to be chairs, benches, little cabanas are there to change clothes or go to the restroom, and lots of small pools have different temperature water, so you search for your own perfect bath. One small wooden path takes you from the bottom of the gorge over the stream to the waterfall, and that water is ice cold glacier water. There is no power in this place and few ladies that work in beautifully built café make everything over the fire. When the night falls, small candle light boxes light the pools and you keep enjoying.

Hi

I haven't been to many Thermal baths in order to compare it to others but I really like these. It's been done in a mininalistic kind a of style so quite nice fitting in with the surroundings. There's around 20 baths varying between of 34 to 40 degs C which wind up the crevace of the mountain. It's quite a range and you also have a cool bath which has the water fall going right into it... very cold water. It's expensive for locals at 14000 CLP but relatively cheap for westerners at about £14 stirling.

There are concession prices as well for students etc. For the price you get a towel and key and lock to use in any of the change room lockers. You are more likely to meet foreigners here I suspect than in other baths. Looks like a great place for the colder months or at night, I've been told great for when it snow's. They have a bar in the hut for soft drinks only, fitted with a big log fire inside and full glass panes to look outside while you sit and drink.
Leave your shoes behind.
Thermal bath next to a natural wat…
Right at the very end.
