Termas Cacheuta Jun 11, 2016
Termas Cacheuta are hot springs near Mendosa. When I say near, it is approximately one hour trip with the local bus which you can catch at the terminal. It is very easy and pleasant ride, buses are leaving only few times during the day, so you better check time schedule. The bus takes you to the entrance of the termas, and that is also the last station. Inform yourself of times when bus is returning to Mendosa terminal. Termas are manmade pools with various temperatures. Pools on the top of the hill are covered and generally hottest. Further you go downhill and towards the river, water is colder. Pool with fountain is cold… They do have showers and good bathrooms. Food you can find outside of the compound (your wrist bend will allow you to get back) and it is cheap and good. There are lockers where you can put your stuff and also you can rent bathrobe and a towel. It is very relaxing place, stunning scenery, warmly recommended.
