Terezin concentration camp is located near the city Terezin. This camp is situated in an old fortress and during World War II it was a concentration camp.

You can reach the camp by car and it is good possible to make a day trip from Prague to the camp. It's about an hour driving to Terezin from Prague.

When you buy an entrance ticket you also will get a little map and some explanation about the different rooms inside the complex. It is strange to walk inside the complex, when you keep in mind that 60/70 years ago thousands of people were detained. On the other hand a visit to this camp will help you to get a good view about the bad circumstances were the people had to deal with.

The complex is not so big, but it still will take somee time to visit the different department inside the complex.
