This island in Azores, Portugal was a great place to be if you enjoy peace, family, and warm weather. I didn't expierence much shopping but loved the view of the horizon. Also as far as the prices for clothing, too expensive for my taste.
The people were friendly and the Vila Nova Village was pretty quiet place for some warm tea...similar to US cafes. Many folks were just happy and enjoying the sun, in which the weather was warm, sunny, and cool at the same time. If you get a chance take a ride to the top to see the St. Mary...not far at all and then you could see a great sight of the entire Nova Village and more. Hope you enjoy your stay, God Bless!
