So, I have lived in Nashville for over 6 years. It is one of my favorite cities! I love music, everything about it, so being in "Music City" is very appropriate. I have seen some of my favorite concerts here. All in all, Nashville never gets boring. There is always something going on. Here are just a few pics that I have taken....

It was a secret fantasy I thought would never come true. But i found myself so close to Elvis..i had to visit his home. I felt a knot in my stomach as soon as I crossed into Memphis and I could not wait till the next day, when I would drive down Elvis Presley Blvd and into Graceland. It was a rainy day but I didn't care. From the time i got my ticket to the moment the bus pulled in front of Graceland, I had a weird feeling that this wasn't happening...but it was!
Walking through Graceland wa…

A group of us decided to take a drive into Graceland to visit the home of Elvis. The tour started at the mansion and we were guided through various rooms and it felt like we had stepped into the past. Each room was unique and gave you some insight as to who Elvis was and as we moved from room to room there was a strange sensation, like it really was the 1970's and you had just travelled through time. We walked into various rooms and halls filled with all of his gold and platinum records displ…

Colin, Eli, and Phil picked me up around 7:30 Sunday night. Our goal was to see the U.S. No timetable, no schedule. Just go. Go is exactly what we did. We started off, heading up I-24 towards Nashville. I drove through Tennessee and Kentucky. Being familiar territory to me, I didn't need the map to navigate.....::4 college kids, half of us graduated, half of us with a semester left. Ill-planned (that was the point), ill-incomed (we were planning…

I lived in Memphis for three years while attending MCA for my BFA in printmaking and art history.During those years i had a million plus adventures through out the city and learned more about myself then i did about art! :P:P I loved this Mid Southern city!!!!! sometimes i even flirt with the idea of moving back.. The focus of this particular trip was for some of my closest and dearest friends to meet for the first time the love of my life and for my love to see a city that will always have…

Last night, Amanda and I finally returned, dusty and exhausted, from our first Bonnaroo experience. I'm willing to bet dollars to Deutschmarks that we'll be back again next year. While it's all still fresh in my head, though, here is a list of some of my more memorable Bonnaroo experiences from this year. More of these as I remember them (which is easier said than done). In no particular order, then:12.) Waiting in traffic to get in on Thursday night, rocking out to LCD Soundsystem in a sea o…

We woke up that morning, and had breakfast and got on the road for our drive into Tennessee. The drive was only about 45 minutes, but we did not want to be late, and then not be able to raft. We got there and register, and we super excited. We sat through the orientation which was telling us how to get your feet and head up and pointed down river if you fall out. We then got suited with our lifejackets, helmets and jackets (optional). I have been rafting once before, in No…

I've always been curious about caves because here in Florida we don't really have any, so I went off on a roadtrip to discover some of the more nearby caves. I saw some pretty amazing and rare cave formations like cave flowers, Anthodites, stalagtites, stalagmites, and snotites. They were all incredible. We also visited Ruby Falls the longest underground waterfall, and we saw The Lost Sea, the second biggest underground water source in the world (the biggest is about an acre larger and is loc…

This is shot during my time in the wonderful city of Memphis, TN at the Worlds Best BBQ Competition. Why they had a Gillette shaving tent set up at a BBQ festival is a head-scratcher; none-the-less, I took full advantage of it...got a hell of a look out of too.

Memphis is such an awesome city. Very friendly. Beale street was just as excting as any in New Orleans. The BBQ, I have to admit, was not as good as I had hoped...Sorry! Being from Alabama, …

Day 6, Friday, July 25, 2003
We have another full day planned. We need to drive nearly 500 miles from Ashland to Nashville, TN. We have a planned stop in Monterey, TN for another family obligation. Then the pay off is going to be second row seats at the Grand Ole Opry. We started out, as we had the last two days, by eating a light breakfast at the Best Western we were staying at. We all really liked this hotel. The beds were comfortable, the location was good, the people were friendl…
