Templo de la Luna, Chukimarka Jul 26, 2016
Templo de la Luna, Chukimarka is very nice sight, and pretty vast area to explore. I would suggest at least 4-5 hours and good shoes. Temple is alright, and you’ll find few guides that would tell you stories about everything and anything, but you can see it yourself. There is gate at the entrance to the valley, BUT if you just walk a bit around you’ll be able to just cut around the gate and have yourself interesting adventure without “ticket”. So, temple is an hill that has some carved steps and on the top there are some ruins, but not that interesting. The best part are different caverns and carved beds in them. Under the hill there are cool ruins and also an Inca road. If you start walking on the Inca road, you’ll come to the nicest ruins in the area (on the right side). The road continues towards the Qenqo.
