Nice circular temple Feb 21, 2010
The Temple of Vesta catches your eye immediately as it has a wonderful circular shape and has a very clean look to it despite its age. Although the goddess of ancient times was traditionally worshipped at home, it is strange and fascinating to see a public temple dedicated to her.

The temple is surrounded by a nice garden area with benches to sit on. Unfortunately, the temple is closed off and you cannot go into it for further inspection. Nonetheless it is a very beautiful building to look at, and well worth stopping for a few minutes to look at it as you are passing by. The temple is very close to the Roman Forum, so you are bound to be passing this building on your way!
