Salt Lake City is the center location of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And whether you know very much about this religion or not, this is a good place to visit to learn more of the rich history and teachings.

Even if you are only there to see this ten acre sight with it many beautiful buildings and homes and the gardens, statues and the Tabernacle you will find it interesting.

Throughout the square are explanatory markers letting visitors know what they were observing and the history behind that item or building.

Approximately a mile away are the burial sites of Brigham Young and many of his family.

We exited the freeway and headed towards Temple Square since that was the main interest. The mall that I remember being right across the street from the temple area was torn down and the road construction made everything a one-way road- UGH. We handed my son the GPS unit… WOW! Uncle McKay is SO cool!

Temple Square and not by the State Courthouse. This is unquestionably a Mormon town. (I was surprised to find that a true Mormon restaurant doesn’t serve wine, beer or coffee. Wine and beer I can understand but the ban on coffee… Salt Lake City is like nowhere else

…picie - no i aby trochę poodychać zwykłym 'amerykańskim życiem' ;)wieczorem pojechaliśmy na miasto - śródmieście; najpierw Temple Square ze światynią mormońską, wokół której jest jak we wspaniałym ogrodzie, tak spokojnie i pięknie. Nawet mogliśmy zajrzeć do sali koncertowej na próbe chóru. Nasz następny przystanek to centrum handlowe albo raczej ulica handlowa zrobiona z bylej… SLC
