Salt Lake City is the center location of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And whether you know very much about this religion or not, this is a good place to visit to learn more of the rich history and teachings.
Even if you are only there to see this ten acre sight with it many beautiful buildings and homes and the gardens, statues and the Tabernacle you will find it interesting. Throughout the square are explanatory markers letting visitors know what they were observing and the history behind that item or building. Approximately a mile away are the burial sites of Brigham Young and many of his family.  Part of the 2006 Summer around the Western U.S. travel blog
