Tela Beach

  I went out on the beach early to spend it with my FM book.  I found a bit of quiet seclusion in a lifeguard tower and began reading the chapters that were remaining.  My travelmates spotted me though, and pretty soon I descended from the high perch to join… Tela: Beach Studying at its Best!

…It’s dead in this town- but that is because of the rainy season, so there is little to no nightlife and no one dares go on the beaches at night because of the gangs and muggings. To be honest, I’ve lost a lot of zeal being here that I’m not going to try and make it to the Bay Islands. I just want to hit up Guatemala now and get through… Damn you teachers and your militaristic tactics!!!

The beach is white sand with beautiful water and sea front restaurants.  There is a nice resort place just down the beach in what I think is called the new part of town.  There are also some beautiful local women here.  My overall… Beaches and Beleados

Arriving in Tela we were greeted by a fantastic beach and decided to dive in and then have "proper" showers.  After that, a few of us went for a stroll along the beach, until we ran into a large, uncrossable estuary.  The end of the day was blissful sunset on the beach… Heading to Tela
