The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology is is Norway's national museum for science, technology, industry, transport and medicine. The museum's objective is to demonstrate the implications of progress in Science and Technology, socially and culturally, through the ages. The museum is an educational institution with collections, exhibitions, publications and other activities, which makes it a place of learning for all.Through its collections and exhibits it chronicles the development of Norway from an agrarian society to a complex industrial society. The museum, located in Oslo, contains exhibitions on transport and aviation, Norwegian industrial history, energy and electricity, wood and metal industries, oil, gas and plastics, clocks and watches, calculating machines and computers, as well as the science centre. The galleries offer examples of how objects, through interpretation can be used to provide an understanding of contemporary life. The museum has a library and historical archives, cafe and museum shop. What i think: I like this museum. Im here every year to check out the temporary exhibitions and to see the same thing all over again. Everything from some of the devices used on some oil platforms to old telephone switchboards are located here. Really worth a visit if you have the time. The fastest way is the Train, but its much cheaper to use other forms of transportation. Admission 80kr (12USD). 40kr for Students. To get here: Take the Local Train to Kjelsås. You will see a big red building from here, walk towards it |

I love these late nights, you know not sleeping all night, then going to work the next day asking, actually hoping a bus hits me so i can go to sleep! Had my first day working in Oslo, it was very nice. People are very friendly, and very chill …… Day 3 first day of work-and still jet lagged |

It is one of those times when work is bitter-sweet, sending me off to a beautiful new location but not letting me explore it with my wonderful bride. Oslo, you deserve so much more than a wander through Slottsparken, an exploration through Akershus …… An Oslo tempter |
