Tej Marhaba Hotel Sousse

I have lived in this 4 star hotel for some time and I must admit that the staff is extremely friendly, doesn't matter if cleaning staff, the reception or in the restaurant.

When you come in it gives you quite a welcoming feeling the nice reception/bar area.

The location is quite good as it is located about 5 minutes by taxi from the old village Medina in Sousse. The only disavantage is that it's not directly at the beach. You have to cross a street and pass a massive construction building to reach the beach.

Nevertheless it has a nice pool area.

The rooms are nice, with carpet floor and loads of space. The rooms with view to the tennis court are for sure more quiet than the ones with view to the sea. Especially as there's a big construction and you might here some noise, even though it's not extremely disturbing, if you're not so fussy.

The rooms are well cleaned. Important is giving tips (5 Dinars per week at least) to the cleaning woman. She will then make some nice figures with the towels and probably put flowers as well. Instead of money you can also give chocolate, she's gonna be happy.

The inside pool is also ok. Pity that it gets closed early in the evening (7 o'clock). The gym lesson (step aerobics) was good. There's also a SPA aera.

The food in the restaurant is good, a wide range of salads and hot meals on the buffet. The desserts are also very delicious, espically the fruit tarts! The service is good , friendly staff as mentioned before and the food gets refilled as soon as it's empty.

When you arrive, don't forget to give some tips to the man who brings your luggage to your room. Don't go on free tours as you might be forced to buy a carpet you don't want to buy. It's easy going on your own or ask your rep!

Yes and very important: in a different building exist "the Tej Marhaba apartments" BUT there not half as nice as the hotel! NOT recommended!

The Hotel Tej Marhaba is a good option for people who want to be located in the center, who don't care much about beeing away from the beach but having a hotel worth it's (affordable) price.

Nice hotel, close to the beach, 5oom from the city center, swimpool inside. If you want to relax you have a good time here.
