I've been a few days in Tehran for work, and i was always fascinated by the ancient culture and old dinasties of Persia.

The alitalia flight arriving in Tehran in the early morning is well known by journalists and businessmen going to Iran.. and also the queues after the arrival at the visa checks where sleepy policemens quietly control everything..

The Azadi Tower is the first landmark visitors come across when arriving from the Mehrabad International Airport. The tower has for many years been an icon for Tehran and a national symbol of Iran.

Tehran suffers from severe air pollution and the city is often covered by smog making breathing difficult..anyway we were lucky to find windy days ..and wind took some of the smog away

The air pollution is due to several different reasons Economical: most Iranian industries are located on the outskirts of Tehran. The city is also overrun with old and aging cars which do not meet today's emission regulations..

The mountains on the back of tehran are full of snow in winter..so i'm planning a ski week in Tehran next time!

We arrived at the hotel when the sun was coming up and we enjoyed a fantastic Persian breakfast with tea and cookies...

Still i have to discover many things of Iran ...i saw The carpet shops ... some restaurants at night ... but seems that life and nightlife has no evidence, but lies behind a curtain of friendships..groups of people ..and is not available for tourists.
