Tegal Sari Reviews
One star western price,5 stars service and location May 04, 2008
I have booked in advance(8 months!)in this hotel with friendly staff situated 25 minutes walk from Ubud center and 10 minutes from Monkey forest (but they provide free transport and pick up to the center almost anytime.)
To redeem myself!!!,I have booked the only Duplex room for 5 nights. This hotel is basic rather than luxury,BUT the location is in lush ground surroundings with awesome paddyfields views. It consists of 21 guestrooms with spacious terraces, equiped with IDD telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, safety boxes, bathtubs with hot and cold showers,AC,ceiling fans. Facilities:stone bottom swimming pool, traditionnal massage pavillon, open air fitness area, lending Library,Internet service. The restaurant is nice, but breakfast can be a bit more(you can order more at moderate prices.) The Duplex room was great:it consists of a 2 storey buiding which area is 105 M2:-on the second floor a large spotlessly clean room,a lot of wardrobes, toilet,AC,fan ,a comfy kingsize bed with mosquito net,and the icing of the cake was the large balcony overlooking the ricefields where I have spent long hours watching the paddies and working ricefarmers. -on the first floor,a big fridge,a terrace, toilet, shower and a stunning JACUZZI facing to the ricefields. Rates including tax and breakfast:from 300 000 IDR(36 usd) to 660 000 IDR for the JACUZZI DUPLEX ROOM. Part of the INDONESIA 2008 travel blog |

We have lazed here 5 days in Tegal Sari looking up to the ricefields ,before going back home.
We did an interesting walk in the ricefields and met a friendly painter in Keliki village,a generous and real artist(see review).
Another day,a rainy one, we went to a remote… Ubud BALI |
