Mexico history Lives here Oct 03, 2010
This Neoclassical style theatre building first opened its doors on May 2nd, 1852. A great number of historical events have taken place here and defined the history of Mexico.

In 1854, the Mexican National Anthem was played here for the very first time.

In 1867, Emperor Maximillan was condemned to death in a trial held in the main hall.

Most importantly, on February 5th, 1917, the current Constitution of the United States of Mexico was proclaimed here,

The building is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10am-3pm and 5pm-8pm.
