Today was absolutely amazing. I met up with my group for my East As trip this morning which will be a 4 day trip along the East Cape of New Zealand. The group was great, a mix of personalities but we all seem to get on really well. The day of traveling was not even painful because there were so many gorgeous sites to see along the way. Today a house with spa pool on the rocks on the sea. Saw magnificent sunset. Quite amazing to see the sun move slowly down then gone within 5 seconds at the last bit. I decided not to jump in the spa after dinner - quite cold outside. A nice dinner followed the sunset and then went to bed. Tomorrow Whakatane

We kept making our way along the East Cape to TeKaha.  Here we stayed with a family in TeKaha Homestead Lodge.  The actual house and dorm left much to be desired (I seem to remember Sarah saying she felt like she was staying in an orphanage) but it had possibly the best hot tub in the world.  We took a nice walk along the beach and then got into the tub, which was about 2m from the beach, and watched the sunset.  It was so nice!  It was customary that every group comi...
