I would like to share this info/ knowledge with you

A few taxi drivers here in KL have told me the following:

• Never ask how much it is to go to a place
• Ask the person to use the meter before you take their taxi
• Use a taxi that wants to put on their meter or that uses their meter
• If you want a cheap price/cheaper taxi fare, take taxis that are passing by and avoid the ones parked waiting for customers

I feel fortunate to come across nice taxi drivers as I’ve heard and read that taxi drivers here are unpleasant.

I pass on these stories/advice/knowledge/information to you

Note: From KLCC to Bukit Bintang is only RM 3 + by meter. If you ask, they charge you around RM 15.

From Bukit Bintang to Midvalley is less than RM15 but if you ask, they charge you RM30 or more.

Do you remember the taxi driver charging RM10 from Warisan Square to the hotel? The original/standard taxi fare is RM7. I bargained and got the taxi ride for Mary at RM8.

Yes, in KK, it is best to know the prices first

…Getting through passport control and customs was all very smooth, we found the taxi desk where for 62 ringgits we purchased our taxi voucher.  The cab ride in was pretty good although the speeding and cab driver talking on the phone was a little unnerving, its not a short journey either into KL, it's about 75 kms! When we got into the city centre, it was buzzing… Arriving Kuala Lumpur
