Taxi Tour Grand Turk Reviews
Great Way to See the Island Dec 26, 2011
There's not much to do on Grand Turk (but the water and beaches are amazing). We were in port for a few hours from a cruise, and didn't have any scheduled shore excursions. For $20/person, you can take a taxi tour of the island. There was five in our group, plus two couples and one single guy. So, I assume the taxi doesn't go without a full van.
It's a nice tour of the island. You definitely see what life is like on the island. And, our taxi driver gave us history and information about the island and region as well. The tour lasted for about two hours. The island isn't very big, with only a few roads, so the tour pretty well covers everything there is on Grand Turk. There are a few stops along the way; the beach (where you can purchases refreshments) and a lighthouse.
The taxi stand is clearly marked within walking distance of the port. It's located right at the shopping area. There is a constant line of taxis so you shouldn't have to wait too long. I highly recommend seeing the island of Grand Turk via the taxi tour.
