Tawian Hotel Beijing - Reviews - Beijing

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week in June 06 - and for the price it was fine. It was as expected - we were not paying 5* hotel prices so we knew it would not be luxurious! It was in an excellent location however withing walking distance to Wafunjung St, which has great Peking Duck restaurant just off it. Snack street isnt too far away. There is a metro line about 10 minute walk away which will take you to where everyou want to go.

The room was a decent size, clean enough with TV and largish ensuite bathroom. We didnt eat in the hotel so l cannot comment, we were able to cash in travellers cheques at the front desk with a minimal charge.

Staff at the front desk were surley but again this didnt affect our stay.

For the money it was an adequate well located hotel. Although one word of warning dont book trips through the hotel - its really expensive - we walked to a nearby backpackers hostel and booked the trips through the hostel for a fraction of the price offered in the hotel.
